Roles and Responsibilities
Software Asset Management Analyst, under limited supervision, provides guidance on software license and asset management to end users. SAM Analyst will provide support controlling related to licensing entitlements, avoiding legal pitfalls related to licensing by understanding and leveraging industry best practices. This role also includes gathering business requirement, review of current licenses, application configurations, hardware asset management and end user license support. Strong knowledge on software & hardware asset management tool and processes.
Technical Knowledge Requirement
Analyze business and user need, document requirement, and implement or revise new process to improve the effectiveness in license compliance • Perform an inventory of installed software and reconciliation analysis for different publishers • Create recommendation on how to license, reconcile and re-harvest license entitlements. • Work with customers on software license agreement and true up of various license packages • Understand SAM best practices and strategies for managing license entitlements. • Provide license consultation to customers on various software applications • Create reports and generate metric on software licensing, compliance and cost saving initiatives • Maintaining inventory of software licenses and responsible for carrying out software audit. • Experience in defining ITIL process along with Implementation. • Good experience is customer handling skills.
Additional Requirement
Good working knowledge of licensing from various software vendors. • Strong presentation, communication, multitasking and time management skills • Solid problem solving and consultative skills • Knowledge on MS office automation tools like word, excel, power point and MS Visio • Good communication skills displaying timely and accurate information sharing with active listening skills • Good time management skills and demonstrated understanding of expected delivery dates and the task necessary to achieve objectives • Hands on experience with SAM tool such as Flexera / SNOW / Technopedia tool / Remedy / Service Now / CA • Openness and willingness to learn on new tools
Experience 7 Years to 12 Years
Education Bachelors or advanced degree in computer studies.
Certificate (Optional) CSAM (or similar) ITIL
