Roles and Responsibilities
Set up new AIFs for the firm which includes working on background research, fund model, detailed product note, liaising with legal and tax counsel, filling with the regulator and setting up required infrastructure for the fund
Develop a sound understanding of the products that Northern Arc Investment Managers has developed, including regulations, tax, excel modelling and documentation
Perform extensive market research of AIF industry, competing funds, new trends in industry, new fund launches, mutual fund analysis and benchmarking of our products.
Identify market opportunities in Indian asset management industry
Be at the forefront of gauging investor appetite for new asset classes/products
Make a presentation / pitches for Northern Arc Investments products
Develop a sound understanding of the sectors and entities that the firm represents, through field visits, data analysis and interactions with internal teams
Develop in-house CDO modelling, VAR computations and other risk tools in existing and new funds.
Bring automation in fund functions and implementation of newer technologies
Assist investor relationship team with products related queries from investors
Assist investor relationship team to create and maintain a database of wide range of investors
Represent Northern Arc Investments at conferences and seminars.
Desired Candidate Profile
Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors/master’s degree from a Tier 1 College
Preference for qualified chartered accountant / CFA Level 1+
Skills Required:
Self-starter with the ability to own the role and develop high quality product
Meticulous with strong numerical skill and strong analytical skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Working knowledge of MS-Office tools and VBA
Interest in financial inclusion and the opportunities that this space represents
Experience of and ability to stretch oneself, work under pressure, handle multiple assignments simultaneously and deliver on deadlines
Strong work ethic, positive attitude, self-motivated individual having an ability to work individually and as part of a team
