Qualification Details:
Sub: Filling up of the post of Presidents, Members and Woman Members of District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commissions in the State of Karnataka, In supersession of the earlier Notification bearing No.KSC/ADM/09/2020 dated 11.05.2020 issued by the Karnataka State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Bengaluru, applications are invited through online from the eligible candidates who are qualified as on the last date fixed for submission of applications for filling-up of the post of President, Member and Woman Member of various District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commissions in the State of Karnataka. The details of present vacant posts and the posts falling vacant till 31.08.2021 are as follows:

C) Qualification: A person shall not be qualified for appointment as member unless he/she –
i) Is not less than thirty five years of age;
ii) Possesses a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university; and
iii) Is a person of ability, integrity and standing, and having special knowledge and professional experience of not less than fifteen years in consumer affairs, law, public affairs, administration, economics, commerce, industry, finance, management, engineering, technology, public health or medicine .
D) Term of office: The President and every Member of the District Commission shall hold the office for a term of four years or up to the age of sixty-five years, whichever is earlier
E) Salary and Allowances of the President and Members: The salary and allowances of President and Members shall be as per the Karnataka Consumer Protection Rules, 2020 and/or related orders/Notifications to be issued under the said Rules from time to time by the State of Karnataka.
