2. Eligibility
a. First class in B.E/B.Tech and M.E/M.Tech in Mechanical/ Manufacturing/ Metallurgy Engineering and Material science
b. The candidate should have atleast three years of research experience as on the last date of application, evidenced from RA ship or associateship or from date of registration of PhD
c. The candidate applying for Research Associateship must have at least one research publication in standard refereed journal as listed in Journal Citation Reports (JCR)turing and thin film deposition, the candidate should have knowledge in the metallurgy of Nickel Titanium shape memory alloys and its thermomechanical actuation characteristics.
3. Desirable qualification: Candidate having experience in additive manufacturing, Laser processing of shape memory alloy is highly preferred
4. Fellowship details: Research associate will be paid consolidated salary based on the following salary structure of the DST for Research Associate. Category Emoluments per month Research Associate-I (47,000 per month )
5. Service conditions:
(i) DA will not be entitled for RA
(ii) House Rent Allowance (HRA): All research associate may be provided accommodation based on availability and those residing in accommodation provided by the institute will not be eligible for drawing HRA. Wherever provision of hostel accommodation is not possible, HRA may be allowed as per Government norms applicable in the city/location where they are working. The fellowship amount may be taken as basic for calculating the HRA
(iii) Medical Benefits: The research associate will be entitled to medical allowance as per institute policy.
(iv) The travel entitlement for research associate for participation in scientific events/workshops in India will continue to be as per institute norms.
6. Duration: The appointment will be till may 2022
